I have always been influenced by the environment around me, the landscape both natural and manmade. I finished a degree in Illustration in 2005 where I was first introduced to the printmaking process of monoprinting. For me the appeal lies in it's unpredictable nature and combination of printmaking, painting and drawing.
Three years after completing my degree at Southampton University I embarked on a journey across Russia, Mongolia and China by train Illustrating a diary of my travels. Since returning I have concentrated on my artwork producing monoprints. The Portsmouth skyline has been the influence for a lot of my work, horizons of heavy industrial views combined with atmospheric colour. I have exhibited across the South and I am always looking for the next step to take.
